Welp, installed the third light from Northridge and it was identical to the drivers side one, the one I thought was defective. I am assuming now that the passenger side was defective and not producing the proper light beam. I put the old drivers side on the passenger side, and the new light on the driver side, and now both light beams and patterns look identical. Will be shipping out my old passenger side light to JWS tomorrow, so will update when I hear what they come up with.

So in my naivety I checked JW and reviewed the pics of the Evo 2's...and their light spread is much better, so yes, I have the original Evo's with that conical beam pattern. In my frustration, I emailed JW to see if they will offer an exchange program since my only complaint is the beam. Evo2's look much nicer. Anyway, on the whole, JW is bar far a better lighting unit. Unparalleled.

OK, finally an update. JW Speaker has had my light for exactly 3 weeks. Eric from Northridge 4X4 contacted me today and said the light passed all the tests at JW and they would not refund me on the light.
However, having seen the evidence, Eric believes it passed a bench test for resistance or something, but there was still an issue with the projection and light beam/reflectors. So, Northridge is refunding my money for the light. Bottom line, Northridge 4X4 has always been and still is a fantastic company, with great people, and I cannot thank them enough for standing by their customers.
