Lighting in general, and vehicle lights in particular, are gradually moving over to LEDs, for good reasons.

Getting Truck Lite headlights was one the best mods I did.

I love my gen2 Trucklites. Great lights and great customer service! But like mentioned above a properly set up hid system will have better light output than led but led will last much longer and in my opinion it has a more "crisp" light than hid. Both have advantages and disadvantages you just need to see what ur real needs for this are and determine which is better for ur particular uses.

Amen. I have the older style TruckLites and I love them!
I converted all my lights inside and out to LED.
Now I can run everything on 2 D size batteries!

Love the Truck Lites they are the best item I added to my Jeep. Plus Northridge4x4 sells the pair with the anti flicker harness for 399. You won't regret the purchase!!

Just installed the heated trucklites. Look forward to seeing how they work this winter.

Post pics people. We need to see your rigs with the lights on to compare to others. I'm about to get me a pair of truck lites also. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

LED's are OK... Offroad in pure darkness they are great. However, in the city with street lights the LED light is washed out and does not provide additional light which limits visibility. In areas that get snow or ice, the LED's don't heat up enough to melt the snow or ice and you lose your headlights.
I have the Gen 1 TruckLites and will be selling them to go with HID's before winter in Colorado.

I've had trucklites for a few years now and love them. Make sure you get the heated model if you live where it snows. Their customer service is top notch. Mine corroded pretty bad and started to fog up. They were out of warranty but they replaced them anyway.
