LED spots, which ones?
So, I am looking for some led spots to mount on my a pillars and have found a few new brands out there.
Raxiom - on extreme terrain.com
KOR LEDs - krawl off-road.com
And of course
Rigid industries - Quadratec and probably other sites
I have read good things on the rigid but anyone use the others. They are cheaper than the rigid ones but seem to have similar specs.
Thanks

X2 on Vision X Light Canon
Why put cheap lights like the sub-standard Chinese copies or the medium quality Rigid lights if you really intend on night wheeling.
There is a difference in quality, heat sinks, electronics, and optics.

When I drive wooded trails at night, I dont need to see a mile down the road. The longest straights are few and maybe 100 meters. Plus, Im only going 10 - 15 mph. Maybe 20 mph at times. If you want to see way down the road then get a spot like the X Canon, if you want a great trail light the D2 is wonderful. And I have never noticed the hood glare to be distracting or worse then any other light Ive mounted on the windshield. Ive had KC spots and PIAA 510 drivings mounted there. On a trail, with turns and hills a spot is just going to glare on the trees or the ground and make driving more difficult. Again, Im talking about wooded trails not open country like many on the forum are used to. Or even an open woods, you know the kind that do not have a lot of under growth. Around here there tends to be a lot of brush in the woods.
My bad. I see you specifically said you ARE looking for spots.

If you are considering the Vision X cannon's, I found that lifetime led makes a similar light. Not sure how they compare, but they are a little less expensive.

Another vote for the Vision X products. I only have the solstice ones in my rear bumper, my father runs a bunch of their products on his expedition 4runner. Loves them without fail. Wouldn't be able to tell you which ones he has though.
