MyGIG REN Question
So, bought a used REN off of eBay....everything seems to be working fine except for one thing: It will not hold a preset radio station. I go to the station and save it. Once I turn off the Jeep and then turn it back on a couple of mins later, the save is gone.
Is this an update issue or is there a tiny little battery inside that I need to replace?

Is the clock losing the time setting, too, or just the radio presets?
There is no battery in the radio, just an "always on" power feed.
I'd double check the wiring connection and pin outs.

If Radio presets do not seem to save on radio, please confirm that the following process is being performed:
When listening to the selected station in AM/FM modes,
- Press and hold the desired preset soft key on the right side of the display.
- Keep holding the preset until the preset goes through a color change of green, then yellow.
Once the selected preset turns yellow, the current station/frequency will be saved.
Note: Mopar IPOD kits - Satellite radio station presets are lost when switching from the IPOD mode to satellite radio mode.

To answer your question...no. Clock always comes right up. I "think" I may have found the reason on the Charger Forum....I believe mine needs a software update. I'm currently running 9.112 and they are up to 9.29...I believe there's 3 or 4 in between what I have and where I need to be. I read in the log of one of them that it fixes preset radio stations being saved. We'll see.
