wow 2 seconds is definitely to long.. i was thinking of ordering a set.. then I took my jeep out and simulated the delay of 2 seconds.. where I started a stop watch when I saw an oncoming car pop into view.. and yeah 2 seconds will blind someone...
wonder if its the computers in the jeep or a capacitor circuit in the JW causing the issue?

I just upgraded to the 8700 Evolution 2 lights and there is definitely a delay when switching from high to low beam.
I'm using a different harness (saw the notes above, figured I'd try a new one)...it's made by Headlight Revolution. I'd say the delay for me is closer to 3-seconds (VERY noticeable).
Other than that I'm extremely impressed with the lights. Definitely hoping JW comes out with a fix/better anti-flicker harness.

Just upgraded from gen1 to gen2. I noticed these are much whiter than the original 8700's- more 5000k vs 6000k. High beam is an improvement; instant on, 2-3 second delay off. Overall very happy with the upgrade.

I have the lights. Great light and great look, but I also am experiencing the delay. I can anticipate when I need to turn them off about 2 seconds prior. However today I flashed someone who forgot to turn off their hi beams, and apparently the 2 second delay applies to flashing the hi beams too, whoops

I installed my new Evo 2's this weekend and I'm very impressed with the density of the light output as well as the build quality of the unit. Interestingly I have almost no delay when going from hi to low beam. On the other hand and possibly unrelated my lights seem to be flashing the hi-beams when the truck is shaken at all by the road, which is often. It's so bad that I find the street signs lighting up like strobes to be extremely distracting and can't imagine what it must be like for other motorists. Would anybody be able to help me out on this one? I've installed the PWM that came with the headlights to eliminate flickering however this seems to be a whole separate issue. The drivers side quick disconnect locks were broken so I zap strapped the quick-disc tightly together. Don't know what else could cause this...
