What I care about is quick and easy map navigation and the possibility of using my current gps or traffic maps. You navigate typically by pinching the screen to zoom in or out. Now if you try pinch and zoom on your wife or girlfriend... Reactions may very

What do you want to know? Tell us more about the rest of your system. Did you replace speakers? Do you have a sub? Did you use a PAC or similar interface to install? Also, do you have the set-up microphone?

The problem is that there are filter settings on the amp for HPF and LPF, then the head unit have their own filters and crossovers. Everything on the internet says one thing, to run both around 80-120 Hz for the subs and cabin speakers respectively. However, the shop that installed them for me is stuck on having the hpf of the amp set to 500 and lpf at 60hz and telling me that lower frequencies to my speakers at high volumes with the powerful jl amp that is pushing them is going to shorten their life.
I feel like I'm missing something

Dude, run as far as you can from that shop, they are morons. Set your amp to full range...shut off the high pass filter. Use your set-up microphone to do the initial set up on your 4100. Most likely the head unit will want to set your crossover point to 120hz, but you can manually adjust that after the auto setup is done. In my Jeep, I have found that 100hz sound best but that is likely because my subs are pretty good at reproducing mid-bass.

I installed the 4100 over the summer with the maestro, SiriusXM tuner, etc. I didn't think it was possible to use the USB in the console between the front seats. Would someone mind explaining how you make this work?
