Question regarding 12V power supply
About to finally install PIAA fog lights. Purchased as a kit however the kit requires a 12V power supply for the switch. My question is, inside the fuse box, there are "Open" locations were power is supplied with the key is on or the motor is running.
Is this a "Safe" spot to connect the 12v power wire? I was going to get an "Add a fuse" kit and tap the wire off of that vs. splice into the cigarette lighter. Just not looking for any issues or problems!

Yeah you could use that no problem. The only this you will have to do is run a fuse tap, with the correct amp fuse off of that. It's not going to make a difference being ignition or live. Although I usually run my connects to a fuse block in the console.

What size fuse do you guys recommend with an inline fuse? 3 amp? It's such a small wire and looks like it just lites up the led light on the on/off switch.
