I mounted a 20 inch light bar to the bottom of my bumper and wired it to go on when I went in reverse it was great it lit up everything behind me. When you mounted it you have to make sure it's tilted a little down so ppl don't get blinded when it goes on. On the legal part I don't think any light mounted to the back of your truck is legal.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I really appreciate it. Specially since it showed me new things to think about both good and bad. Thanks again.

I wired mine to a switch so I can use them when I need them for backing up or setting up camp in the dark. They also help with people behind you with their bright lights on or people driving without their headlights.

Mine at night... I have the two bumper lights facing the rear, two 8" light bars to the rear, and a set of leds to light up the rear and sides of my tires. I do A LOT of night trips. I don't want to send my wife out to help me back up in precarious situations (it's cooooold at night where I go) so I flip a switch and all 6 leds come on. I would never wire them into the reverse lights. That would be stupid. But I have flipped them on once when someone refused to back off and stop tailgating me. It's backs up EVERYONE who wishes to go there. The two 8" bars are vertically mounted to my tire carrier, so I can swivel them in or out depending on the situation. Great little setup that I would do all over again if I had to get a new bumper for whatever reason.
