I could go down and try it but hoping someone can save me the agony of leaving the couch!

If you are talking about the power outlet in the back by the sub, and it is fed by fuse M7 in the TIPM, you can make it switched, or always hot, depending on where you install the fuse.

Could I do that same trick to my console outlet or the one in my center compartment?

Only if they are fed by fuse M7.
Fuses M6 (ACC) and M36 (BATT) do not have dual positions.

So if I pop the fuse panel and move M7 over, I can make the rear cargo outlet a switched source?
