For the one under my seat, I just used a piece of sheet metal the size of the amp, mounted it to the bottom of the larger so that the brackets would clear when it folds down, then connected the amp to the sheet metal. I would post pictures but I can't get a decent one that isn't too dark or close up.

Matt, I have a Jeep DYI YouTube channel and recently posted how I am looking for a under the back seat sub box for my 12 JKU. One of my viewers suggested you and said I needed to contact you. Do you make and sell these ?

Thanks,

Chad

I make them for under the front seats. Solid fiberglass with Line-X finish. Seats still 100% functional, 10" sub under each front seat. The subs I suggest are rated at 500w RMS each. Completely stealth, you don't lose any back storage pace and your rear seat still folds down. Bass can be heard and felt with the top down in the interstate.

I installed a custom subwoofer box from Mattk11 under my passenger seat with the 10" Sundown SD3 10 D2 subwoofer. I had issues with getting the box to fit under my seat without washers, but Matt quickly sent me a replacement box that fit much better. One subwoofer is plenty of bass in the Jeep unless you're going for glass rattling bass. I mounted the amp behind the glovebox, next to the fan, using a T bracket from Home Depot using a bolt cutter to turn it into an L bracket, then bent 90 degrees. I used an LC2i to tap into the factory speakers for my signal into the amp.

Hellphenix - I tried to reply to your PM but I got an error that your box is full.

I bought the below amp off of Amazon. I liked that amp because of Its compact size and it's optional subwoofer volume control. I double side taped the volume control inside my glovebox because I couldn't find a good place to mount it and it's light is really bright.
Rockford Fosgate PBR500X1 Punch 500 Watt Mono Boosted Rail Amplifier

I put my subwoofer under my passenger seat because I didn't particularly want to sit on top of it and I already had my Bestop under seat storage box mounted under my drivers seat.

I picked the Sundown SD3 10 D2 subwoofer because that is what Mattk11 recommended.

I did the same till I decided I wanted two subs, so I got another from Matt. Put both amps behind the glove box on the left they fit pretty well used a zip tie or two to keep them in place a little. As for your boxes both of mine required 4 to 6 1" washers per bolt so I don't think that's too uncommon and wouldn't expect a super perfect fit. That's after cutting out the carpet underneath and lining it with sound dampened material.

Default Anybody have this issue?

Has anybody had an issue with the little black box hanging from the bottom of the driver's side seat? Got everything installed in my 2011 JKU. Cut the carpet, did a considerable amount of trimming on the armrest side seat bracket and using 4 stacked washers at all 4 corners, but still have a clearance issue. I don't know what this box is, but I bent the bracket up as much as I felt comfortable. I do know that the box is slightly magnetic because while grinding the bracket off the seat rails, some of the metal stuck to that little black box. If the seat is all the way back it is ok, but I only get about 4" of travel forward because that little black box hits the rubber surround on the sub. Already jacked my new sub up! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
