Default Rigid LEDs causing CB static

Have Rigid spots & floods, plus LUX rock lights, all switched through a six-toggle sPOD. I discovered yesterday that the spots and floods cause CB static when switched on, however the four LUX rock lights do not. I can use the squelch to kill the racket, but anyone know what's going on with the Rigids?

The switching driver in the LED lights is probably causing the interference.

Out of curiosity where are you pulling power for the CB radio?

Just a plug in tap of the 12v dash socket.

CB power should be run directly to the battery from everything I've read. I don't know if that would solve your problem but easy enough to test.

Let's pull the "clean power" off of the table- my a pillar rigids give my standard radio static. When the passenger light is removed, the static disappears. Furthermore, holding the antenna kills the static too. I'm thinking it's something inside of the rigid lights....maybe?? Is it possible that Sok66 is seeing the same thing but just elsewhere?

i do not claim to know how you specifically wired this but this would be my approach. since the light appears to cause noise i would start with running a dedicated ground to the battery from the light, even if its a temp to tshoot. if this does not cure the issue bypass the switch all together and hook the hot for the light straight to the battery as well, any change? basically isolate one section at a time. i think this is why any audio source power should be direct to the battery, to help with noise issues which almost always stem for poor grounds. i have even seen dedicated power and ground wires twisted (think twisted pair) to cancell crosstalk.

That's weird. I also have the sPOD and have my CB wired to the sPOD. I have LED pillar, reverse, and a 50" also wired to the sPOD. Cobra 75. Funny, I never noticed, but my 50" creates static on my Cb. I'm sitting in it at the movies. The other lights create no interference. Wtf over

Gonna try the ferrite bead. Cheap enough...
