ScanGauge II - Trans Fluid Temperature working!
Hi All:
I'm not sure if this has been brought up here yet, but I am successfully displaying Automatic Transmission Fluid Temperature on my 2010 JK via a ScanGauge II. Thanks to some back and forth dialogue and testing with ScanGauge, here is what you need to do to display TFT on your JK/JKU:
Enter the following two XGauge codes into your ScanGauge II (procedure will vary slightly depending on your SGII software revision). Once entered, display both the ECU code and the TFT code simultaneously.
Wake Up ECU
TXD: 07E01092
RXF: 045025920000
RXD: 3808
MTH: 000100010000
NAM: ECU
Transmission Fluid Temperature (Degrees F)
TXD: 07E022B010
RXF: 046205B00610
RXD: 3010
MTH: 000100400000
NAM: TFT
You need the ECU code on screen to begin the TFT readings. You may switch the ECU code to another XGauge once TFT displays, but will need the ECU code each time you start the vehicle if you want to monitor TFT.
This is confirmed working on an 07, 08, and 10 JK.
Hope it works for any of you with a SGII who've been awaiting a working Trans Fluid Temp reading!

Cant get it to work on my 2012 JKU. I display both ECU and TFT. The ECU line says ON and the TFT line is blank.

If it works in a 2011 it should work in a 2012. Any ideas?

I found this on another site posted by a guy named motor12:
X-Gauge trans temp code for 2013 JK (Here it is)
After a few e-mails from James at ScanGauge and trial and error testing on my 2013 JK sport. James was able to get the correct codes for transmission temperature. The following code is for a 2013 wrangler and probably will not work in anything else.

Just tried it today and it worked great.
Be advised that the Jeep/Trans ECU does not report transmission temp when the vehicle is in park! You need to shift to Drive for the correct trans temp to be displayed on the ScanGauge.
This is not a ScanGauge anomaly, the same behavior is displayed in my Jeep Grand Cherokee and the built in EVIC.
