Good to know. Thanks guys!

I'm using the kenwood bluetooth. The reason is that I want to use pandora with my phone. It won't let you use bluetooth connected to the u connect and send audio to the kenwood side for the integrated pandora control.

It comes out with 2 screws. The two in the picture holding the cut bracket are the only ones holding it in. they are the same 7mm hex head screws found on the rest of the dash. I did the cutting on the bench and ground some of the sharp edges from cutting.

I assume that using the Kenwood Bluetooth renders the steering wheel control for uconnect inoperable, is this correct?

If you get a pac rp4-ch11 module, it retains the steering wheel controls.

What does the maestro do? My audio shop guy said it does different things but didn't really elaborate.

Probably the same thing, but he gets a cutback for selling them, so he's going to push his product. Lol... that's my guess

Using the Kenwood bluetooth does not render the phone and voice buttons useless with the maestro system. They can be programmed via computer to do anything. So, they could activate the phone via the kenwood. Or do something else.
