Have a 2014 JKUR. Trying to figure our good place on interior to mount 4 switches for lighting, etc

Was thinking of a A Pillar set-up, this seems pretty good.

Then I looked at the interior at the panel that has the control for power mirrors, hazards, traction control, and power switch for the interior plug. Looks like there are 4 un-used blanks in the panel (my guess is if you have heated seats, etc). Has anyone wired in switches into this panel? If so what switches, and was it easily accessible to get switches in and the get wires into the engine bay. If you have pic that is great

That said looking for any creative location for switches. Want it to look clean

You referring to the panel below radio and infront of base of shifters?

I was told it's a big circuit board behind there so you can't really mount any additional switches.

A pillar is about the only good option..

Yeah there's a circuit board that controls the OEM switches and I wouldn't recommend you mess with it. I think you have a few options besides that.

-a pillar
-daystar lower switch panel (mounts below those OEM switches)
-sPod overhead panel (you can get just the panel if you don't want the entire $400 system -- although I love my sPOD)

Looking at first post... That looks awesome! Did you just cut into the original a pillar to mount? Who makes the switches How hard was the wiring into the engine bay?

Looked at daystar. It works on autos only. I have manual. I guess a pillar is way to go

It brings a lot more to the table than just the mounting location of the rockers

If you want a factory look, check out the OTRATTW.com Contura switches. If you like them, you might consider options that use those switches. sPOD does, but so do others, including at least one A-pillar switch pod I've seen. You can wire the dual-lit switches into the dash dimmer circuit. I'd post a pic I have on my phone, but Android Lollipop has killed the usability of the photo gallery. :-(
