I compared the TL to JW Speaker and all the other option, in terms of light pattern, hot spots, low/high lights, etc'.
My conclusion, after a long "study" was to chose the TL, and I really like them.

I put a rally harness on mine with H4 IPF headlights. Right now I have 80/85w bulbs in it. I like the normal light color, but extra brightness. I just couldn't see spending that kind of money on headlights. Most of my friends are using JW Speaker lights, and like them. One is waiting on the new Speaker lights that don't require the anti flicker harness.

Love my Trucklite's too!
Shop around though. I picked my TL's on ebay for 165 a piece, and I think ordered the harness cheaper from amazon.
Northridge wouldn't cut me a deal, pretty sure I paid 375 or something all together, I actually ordered 4 TL's at the same time.. A buddy of mine and I run the same lamp on our Harleys as well. Best lighting solution for both my jeep and bike, I couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor and buy the lights.
I am actually going to be selling my 50'' lightbar set up now since I installed my TL's, between the headlights and a 20" bar on the bumper. I have no use for the 50'' now.
Another nice thing about the TL's is since then are a more focused beam of light, that is reflected outward. It allows you to angle the headlights a little higher and have more light on the road and horizon without blinding on coming traffic.

The TL have a wide (not focused) light spread, which sheds more light to the sides than many other headlights.
The reason why they can be aimed higher, without blinding oncoming traffic is that the cutoff line is very straight and horizontal, with no hot spot above it.
The lack of hot spot above the cutoff line, is what allows the whole light to be aimed somewhat higher.

You should adjust them just to make sure. Put a piece of tape on a wall 20 feet in front of the Jeep about 3 feet high and line the top of the low beam up with the tape.
