Is the U-Connect just a module and a microphone???
Son in law has a 2012 Sport with base stereo and no bluetooth. I have a 2013 with base stereo, Alpine, and U-Connect. I am likely swapping out my stereo for something aftermarket which will already have Bluetooth capability. SIL wants Bluetooth. Can I just give him parts from my Jeep that he can plug into his, or is it more complicated than that??? I know he won't have the steering wheel controls, but that's okay. All he really wants is Bluetooth.
Thanks

It depends on what model your radio is. If it is RES/130s or a 430N (touchscreen navi) you will also have to pull the separate Uconnect module from yours and place in it in your sons to make the bluetooth/hands free features work. If it is the 730N (touchscreen navi) the module is built in and will work as is.
