I think my biggest issue is trying to figure out subs that's don't infringe on my Cargo area. I ha e already removed my stock sub since that location is just plain stupid.

May be more than you are looking for based on your OP, but this is how I deal with stealth bass.

This is exactly what I did except I used the Kicker Hideaway sub and it sounds fantastic!

your receiver and speakers really contribute to the overall sound system. I changed out my head unit to a kenwood touch screen dvd around $300 and my speakers to the kicker replacements because there plug and play for $144 on ebay for all 4. added a memphis amp for $100 and an amp kit $30.00 and a kicker 12 inch sub and box for $120. wow... do it yourself there are videos on youtube how to remove dash and stereo and how to reinstall stereo and speakers. you will have piece of mind that it was done to your satisfaction when you do it yourself and save $350 bucks

But beware, if you go with a double din you will have to cut the bottom off the metal bracket behind the dash. It's only 2 more screws to remove it after the dash is apart.

I've built them for several 10" shallow subs including Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate, MTX but the best were Alpine slim, and JL shallow. I use Sundown SD-2 but they aren't really a true shallow mount, they just have no pole vent so they'll fit in a 4 1/2" deep box.
