I assume you get some noticeable vibration sitting in the seat?

Guys I just did a search for the kicker speakers for the sound bar at best buy. They popped up for $70. I hope I'm looking at the right ones.

You do know that these are 4 ohm speakers? If you use them with the stock system, which is 2 ohms, you are effectively cutting the amplifiers power output in half. A 25 watt per channel amp rated at 2 ohms will put out 12.5 watts at 4 ohms. While it will be a better sounding speaker, it will not play as loud or as cleanly as the amp will likely clip when it is over driven.

If you are going to use them with an aftermarket head unit, I encourage you to go listen to them before you buy. It will take no more than a half hour. Low end Kicker speakers aren't the best sounding speaker out there, there are many mothers you can compare them to at Best Buy. Just a side note, you usually get what you pay for in car audio.

Default Focal/Cerwin Vega

I just put a dual Focal 6.5 component system in with Alpine Nav and Dual 15" Cerwin Vega strokers. Super loud and very clear.

Looked on eBay. Couldn't find any listing for 4 Kicker speakers for $144. Please help

[QUOTE=rsbmg;4080928]So I have decided I would like to upgrade my stock sound system. BUT I don't know a damn thing about car audio and don't know where to start.

Not sure if you have the factory sub or not but here is a thread I just posted on what I did hope it helps!

So I read through a bunch of threads on multiple sites before I decided to start my audio upgrade, and after much review this is what I have done and it sounds great.

I replaced my factory front speakers with Rockford Fosgat Prime R165S speakers $99 on crutchfield. I was a bit worried about installing these myself after everyone saying it was a pain in the a** and that you had to pull apart the dash. This was not hard at all it took me an hour and a half to install the front speakers and the tweeters. The driver side is not as hard as other places say in fact I found it easier than the passaanger side but I did the passanger side first. When I pulled the speakers out I used a genaric dynamat from Walmart $15 for a roll of it and was more than enough to cover the inside of front speaker boxess and the inside of my factory sub box. I also filled the boxes with polyfil. The dash speakers fit great with the supplied brackets and the tweeter fit inside the factory tweeter grilles. The best part is no need to run crossovers with these speakers.

I replaced the sound bar speakers with Rockford fosgate prime R1525x2 $59 on crutchfield I put some generic dynamat in the sound bar and polyfil. speakers fit perfect with supplied brackets. this took a total of 15 minutes.

Afer I installed the speakers I cranked it up and the mids and highs are super crisp and loud but they where now over powering the factory sub. I had a five channel amp and a replacement sub in my shopping cart on crutchfield but before I ordered it I figured I would try something. I dynamatted the inside of the factory sub box and filled it with polyfil and put the factory sub back in and moved my fade to 3 rear and I was amazed. The factory sub was twice as load and had deeper bass after doing this.

I have a total of $190 into it and It sounds great!!! I may still replace the facotry sub and add an amp later down the road as I know after a while I will want more. But if you are looking for a clean sound with a little bass (not shaking the doors off bass) but enough for a clean sound that is 1000X better than the factory infiniti system I would highly recommend this set up. I hope this helps someone out!!

I realize this is an old thread but for anyone reading through it I recommend Polk db series speakers. I did the 6.5 coaxials in the sound bar and the 6.5 components up front recently. Huge improvement. I also used polyfill and Dynamat-like material (can't recall what his was called but I don't think it matters much) . Not too hard to do, just had to modify the mounting points a bit. Plenty of You-tube help out there Picked them up off ebay for about $180 all in. Now I need a head unit, amp, sub...

I went with Infinity replacement speakers and 2 JL 10w3... No other modification necessary.
