I think the radio should can be wired up to the canbus if needed (eg: you'd like to keep your steering wheel controls) but might not be catastrophic if its not.

Also, I've got el cheapo eBay LEDs in my 2013 and its working fine. Opened up one of the bulbs the other day and nothing fancy inside them, just LEDs and resistors...

Default Radio install 2014 Jeep Compass

I’m trying to install the Chrysler standard double din radio and when I plug it in everything starts to trip out and I get a NO-BUS reading on the dash. What does that mean?

No-bus usually happens when the dash computer is disconnected. What's the history on the radio? It seems like maybe that's sending interference down the line and bothering the computer.
