You guys are the best! Thanks for the help! I already have the switches. I actually have everything but the wire. I'm hoping to get this done soon. When I do I'll post pics!

I'm using Cat-5 (Ethernet) to run from my relays to my switches. It's a nice little bundle of 8 individually covered wires. Super easy to run through the firewall and since it's only carrying milliamps, it's ok to be such a thin wire. But going this route, definitely run it through some conduit once you're in the engine bay. The outer coating is not made for high heat or rough environments.

I plan on only having 4 switches in one of the A-pillar panels from rugged ridge. I only need 4 wires coming in from the engine bay, but having 4 extra will allow me to wire up on/off/on switches if I ever want to.

I also plan on terminating both ends with RJ-45 connectors (again, standard Ethernet connectors) for quick connect/disconnect

Yup. You were right, countrydude. I finally got to test it with a lighted switch this morning (I had actually forgotten about it) and the LED still comes on even when switching the negative side.

Now as for the "always on" light (the one that's on even if the switch is off) you will need a hot input for that. Most will tie into the dash lights so that LED comes on when the dash lights come on. But you could also wire it to come on with the key in the ignition.
Can you tell me where the ignition hot is located?

Welcome, Brian. There is a hole on each side of the dash when you pull off the side panels. It is filled with Styrofoam so you need to poke a hole first with a coat hanger or something. These come out under the hood but not actually in the engine compartment as shown in the pics.

Also, if you have an auto you can come through the hole for the clutch. There are good spots on page 2 of these instructions for the sPod for both the auto and manual tranny.
