'07 JKU rebuild
Well, my JK is 10 years old and in need of a little love. I found some inner fender rust starting. The interior plastics are faded. Trail damage and scratches all over. Powder coat coming off damn near everything that is powder coated. So I decided to strip her down and address it all. Saying goodby to the Rescue Green and the grey plastic. Who knows, might even go ahead and do long arms and coil overs while I'm here.
So out with the old:
Looking good now?

Why not keep the Rescue Green?? It's an awesome color and absolutely unique. You don't see many vehicles driving around in that color. Looking back now.....I almost wish I had bought Rescue Green.

After 10 years Im ready for a change. Also, for years I hardly ever saw another RG Jeep. Now there are 6 in my local area....

They've obviously got good taste like you do! I understand being ready for a change after 10 years though. Any ideas on staying with the green family or are you going radically different?

That would look pretty sweet. Have you seen the "Destroyer Grey" for the Challenger Hellcat? I think thats the color name and vehicle it was for i could be wrong, but that would be sweet on a JK especially done with the kevlar.

Yeah, that is a good color. The color I chose is a metal flake, but Im going to shoot it in a satin. it should be a pretty nice effect.

That's cool. How are you going to protect the wood? Just use a lot of marine grade poly or something? How is that being held down? I notice no bolts there like how a hard top would attached. Looks like you've put a lot of thought in to that, and have executed it nicely.
