Default 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4-door JK fixer upper build.

Thought i'd document my build on getting a jk restored.

The 2007 Silver 4-door Jeep Wrangler was bought for 4000 in AZ. The vehicles original owner came from Iowa.

I knew it was a great deal but i've got a lot of work in front of me.

Car does not run well no fire on 2 and 5 cylinder its throwing code P2305 still after replacing Crank Sensor, Cam Sensor and MAP. Also replaced coil pack, spark plug wires and plugs. Now wanting on my PCM from Extreme RPM.

Thanks
Lee

My second mod was to replace the front and rear bumper.

before

After

I did not like the out come of the flex seal grill it was textured and seem to spray to thick when getting to close to empty.

Needed to remove front axle to weld on broken driver lower control arm mount.

Yup previous owner was careless

I really like the tie strap fix.

Now to find someone locally to fix the mount.

After removing the axle i notice a bind in the diff. tomorrow ill tear apart diff and start buying more parts to fix or steady the front end.
Parts list driver ABS Sensor and Hub, front drive shaft Ujoint, front brakes and rotor, both upper lower and pass and driver ball joint.

I also forgot to mention this vehicle has only 68,000 miles. I guess this is what happens when you live in an area where 60 percent of the roads are still unpaved.

Looks like a fun time. I always see things for what they can be. Good luck with the rebuild.

Needed to update some photo and i finally got this thing going.

First i replaced the engine. Purchased from a shop that specialize in ls swaps. i got the motor and trans for 650 in Vegas. SCORE

After dropping the flywheel on my finger i was still able to install the engine with some help from my friends.

So far i was able to replace the PCM with an Extreme RPM PCM the original pcm was Not allowing #2 and #5 coil from sparking.

Motor no photos but also replaced the A/C compressor, Alternator and idler pulls and that quieted the motor while running.

A few more things i needed to replace

I had no idea that the driveshaft sat in a cup. i ended up banging the seal up. Ran into phoenix and good old craigslist found me a guy replacing his front and rear drive shaft for $150. it was an awesome deal knowing i already needed to replace the front driveshaft.

This is the only photo i got me of working on the rear axle. I found another guy in phx selling a front axle with 3.73 with knuckles and hub. so i had to replace my rear ring and pinion. My original 3.21 was using a 7/16 bolt so i needed to drill out the carrier to 1/2 and waited on the bolts i ordered from quadratec.

While in phx picked up tires, lift, and hi lift

Just about done replaced soft top and needing to clean interior.

I picked up the vehicle on Jan. 18th. Now i'm feeling pretty proud of how far i've gone in less than a month.
