Default Double Deuce Build Thread

Purchased my '08 JKU in January of 2015 after trading in my '02 WJ. The WJ worked for me, but didn't do everything I wanted to do.

With that, the Double Deuce Build began...

After driving it for a few months, I immediately saw the need for new headlight assemblies. Trucklite came through with a great headlight!

After a few more months, I upgraded the exhaust, air intake, added quick release mirrors, etc.

Going through build threads, I decided to bite the bullet and order a lift. I went with the 2.5 Rock Krawler Flex system with Bilstein shocks. With that, I ordered 315/70-17 Nitto's with ProComp 97 Series Steelies.

Other upgrades consisted of new ball joints, drag link, steering stabilizer, additional lighting, etc.

Little video I put together - it's not much, but it's better than a bunch of photos!

That it does; but the wallet can only get so empty. I saw you were out of Springs - I travel there a few times out of the year for work. Always enjoy stopping by NR4x4 to see what kinds of builds they're working on.

PM next time your in town. If it is wheeling season I would be glad to take you out with our Jeep club. There are some decent trail, just 45 minutes outside of town.

Picked up the Christmas Tree last weekend - didn't realize how spoiled I was with the roof rack on the WJ. I managed to find a few anchoring points. Next year, I'll send both the front and rear ratchet straps through the cab and call it a day.
