Jk Tire Help
So I have a Stock 2014 Sahara unlimited. Stock 18 inch rims 7.5 W 31 inch tires and I wanna put 35x9x18 on em with a 2.5 spacer lift for now to clear it. Just wondering if the 35s would ruin my tranny at all I know it would be a bigger gas consumption which I'm cool with. Or can I get away with the 35s

So to help you out more could you tell us:
-Are you planning on running new wheels?
-Auto or Manual trans?
-3.21 or 3.73 gear ratio?
-Where you live/drive the jeep?
And welcome to the forum!

It will not ruin your trans to go to 35" tires. Were you planning on getting new wheel to replace the stock wheels? If not, you'll need to run wheel spacers to not rub the tires while turning. If you drive an auto, you'll need to recalibrate for the larger tires or your jeep will be shifting as if they were the same size as before. Also, depending on what gears you have (3.21 vs 3.73), the terrain where you live at and your elevation, you'll fall in and out of overdrive on the highway.

Thanks for the info guys!
And yes new wheels as well 18inch
it's an auto
3.73 ratio
winnipeg manitoba lol
Couple pits with hills for offending and lots of mud lol
I originally wanted to put 35s on the stock rims but I wanted to go wider so I'll change to wider rims!

Your gear ratio is definitely the better of the two. After you recalibrate for 35" tires, the loss of power may bother you, but it may not. Idk what maniroeiaba Canada is like lol. If it does bother you, finding a set of used rubi gears in 4.10 will make a difference, or just just to 4.56. Either way, you can worry about that later

you can run no lift with 35's, trim the fenders and pinch seams your golden (with wheel adapters or more backspacing on your new wheels). Now the gears... The wife is sitting on a JKUR auto with 35s and 4.10 gears, let me just say that a gear change is in her near future. Not quite enough grunt for some of the hills out here. My 2 cents
