glad to hear you got the axle installed, AK had a rough weekend last weekend i know that with a bunch of people up at big dogs with broken crap, now thats not an excuse by any means as a business owner but knowing how much he does for the off road community up there i personally would not hold it to him, his work is amazing, will stand behind all of it and is wonderful to have a shop of his caliper on this coast. only downfall i have is that hes 3.5 hours from me!!! and on a side note, did you figure in your anxiousness of wanting your jeep back asap into it haha looks great though congrats on all the new equipment
By no means am I trying to say to stay away from his shop. I actually would encourage people to go there because of the quality of work. Just know that you should probably explain any possible monkey wrenches before hand.

To expand on what's above:
I went down to visit my buddy, KarmynsBeep (KB), in KY on Thursday. He actually didn't know I was coming as we had originally planned but his wife insisted we not tell him. So after work Thursday morning I hopped in the Jeep and headed west. I was slightly nervous about the gears because Chaos hasn't changed the fluid. (I changed it at 420 miles on Wednesday for the 550 mile journey). When I got into West Virginia, I was so thankful I regeared. If I still had 3.21's I would've suck started my handgun or turned around. If you've never been before, WV has some insane mountains and for the first time ever in my Jeep, I was passing people while climbing in 6th gear.
I got to their house that afternoon, took a nap, and once KB got home and realized I was there, we made a game plan for our wrenching plans. (At this point, just click here to see everything we got done to his Jeep: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-g...-317641/page9/ )
We got up Friday and hit the ground running on my Jeep while waiting for pieces to fall into place to work on his later that night.
-We started with new Crown extended steel brake lines to eliminate the brackets on the factory lines and bled to brakes (obviously)
-Rerouted the ABS sensors to give them some more reach. Flex Problems.
-We added 2" Teraflex bumpstops to the rear (Not sure if I like this yet or not. I didn't expect it to bottom out so fast on a 5" lift. Before, I felt a LOT more travel in the rear and I liked it *enter jokes*)
-Drilled all my door handles out.
So KB is a painter, body shop guy, bed liner, pretty much anything that has to do with appearances/spray guns, he's the man. Because of this, he's also the biggest perfectionist I've ever met. I believe in self tapping screws, zip ties, and welding things... He does not.
He walked around my Jeep and before I know it, we ripping my license plates off and using real hardware to secure them and bolting them to the body. I see what he was saying now, both look a lot better than before and I'm really happy with how they turned out. After all this, we started working on his Jeep (see link above for far more impressive work), we had some complications but worked through them.
Yesterday, after wrenching for hours upon hours for 2 days straight, we decided to go wheeling. KB is temporary 2WD until his rear 4.10 gears and locker come in the mail so Me, KB, and Mrs KB piled in JK505 and headed out to a few local spots. To make a great long story short:
-Thought my rear locker failed but I was hitting the wrong switch like an idiot
-Hit a water crossing very hard launching Mrs KB into the soundbar (she's okay )
-Went through some pretty deep sticky KY mud locked front and rear with no issues at all
-Tried another hole and felt the front end stop for a second and then sink until my 35s were practically covered and pulled winch line without taking a swim.
-Didn't break anything
-Used a Hello Kitty Sprinkler to clean my jeep
After all that we went to Wallyworld to try and make some rock lights but had no luck as they were all broken. Instead we went to Tractor Supply and fixed my Quick Discos, picked up some mail box stickers for my hood to see how I liked the look and without getting into too much detail, and ended up savin KB from a very interesting situation.
We put the stickers on last night and I'm happy with the look, but not with how I cut them out. I left this morning at 0400 unfortunately but with plans for more wheeling and wrenching. Windrock TN is coming soon, then I'll be repaying the incredible hospitality when they visit to hit Rausch Creek and GWNF with me.
I'll be uploading select pictures soon. I took so many throughout the trip that it will probably take a while to get them up.

Thanks for an awesome weekend again my phone was dead most of the day Friday so I don't have many mod pics but here's some ky mud photos, you out to post up the video of you owning the long ruts!
Can't wait for you to come back and enact some hero gas revenge on that hole! I understand taking it easy on the new hardware! Which I might add performed flawlessly!

That picture reminds me: we also discovered my tie road is bent up pretty badly so I've got a synergy chromoly tie rod on the way soon to fix that along with a rear drive shaft thanks to all this overtime.

Just for you KarmynsBeep
So after hearing a ton of crap, I'm folding and giving into KarmynsBeep to update this early. I haven't done a ton but here's what I've got. I ordered a set of EVO Corners and taillights that haven't come in yet, but will be rattlecan bed lined and slapped on. I also noticed that my tie rod is bent into my diff cover and rubs when I turn driver so I used that as an excuse to order another synergy product and get a tie rod! (Never thought I'd be so happy to have a bent tie rod)
And finally, the main reason for this post. I just spent a ton of money on gears and lockers but didn't even consider protecting them. I did some shopping around and found a new riddler diff cover that I was planning on putting on the front. Now, I am quite possibly the WORST painter ever. However, KarmynsBeep, is possibly the greatest I've ever seen and my best friend. So I bought my diff cover had it shipped directly to him... Then I shot him a text saying something like "Hey man, bought a diff cover. Mailed it straight to you should be there in about two days. Can you paint it with something close to rescue green and black or something?"
Well he got it and ran with it. I was getting phone calls asking if he could do this, or do that, something about a torch, women's panties, it was crazy. I finally just said that he could do whatever he wanted to it and I trusted him. And this is what I got back...

Pictures: I'm super happy with how it turned out. I love the colors and think it'll look good on the rear where it should get abused a tad bit less than the front. Big thanks to my buddy for the hard work and great idea! I've got somebody's panty pattern on my diff now! ... Or something like that. Lol
