JK505's East Coast Hunting and Weekend Toy Build
#21
Wow, awesome looking 2 door! As someone stated earlier, it's nice to see a good 2 door build. I really like the way you chose to store your freedom panels in the back. I was wondering if you could post a pic of the axe you installed between the sound bar and hardtop.

And I'll post some pictures of the axe tomorrow along with the dually install. It's really sturdy and is completely hidden from the outside.

No pictures yet, but I have an update:
KC dually cubes will arrive tomorrow, pictures will be up soon after. I also have been looking everywhere for rubicon rails and finally acquired some from Ade after looking at his build thread.
I have also decided to go with a 15lbs power tank rather than OBA and a compressor.
After that, this thread will probably slow down. My family has asked me to not get any more jeep parts till the holidays are over to avoid double purchases.

Here are some pictures of how I stored my axe. I used two tie down straps to ensure it wouldn't come loose.
This is what it looks like from the outside of the jeep, it's barely visible. (Pardon the mess, it's been a busy few days.)
I also got the KC cubes in the mail today and so far I love them! They were very easy to install (Although I had to run to lowes to grab washers for my brackets. KC only includes bolts, lock washers and nuts. No flat washers), a tad easier than my rough country LED's but seem to be a little less "white" than them also. Which is slightly disappointing when you compare RC is $80 and KC is roughly $180. But I will take the jeep out again now that it's dark to compare so more. I did notice the KC go much further than the RC. But the RC is 30 degree flood vs the KC 12 degree spot

I thought I'd also put up some pictures of the Cubes during the day.
Thanks to another forum member, I believe his name is MikeJKUR, I have decided to go with a company called Instant Air Supply rather than powertank. The 15lbs power tank is roughly $408 and the IAS is about $260 (+$30 for powder coat). I've already contacted the owner, who is a fellow jeeper, and made plans for mine to come in a flat OD green.
I'm off to test out the new KC lights. Will post pictures comparing them soon.

Thanks, mike! I found the owner, Nate, online and reached out to him. He was incredibly patient and willing to answer all my questions, and there were a lot that I asked. He explained why his system is made the way it is, what I could and couldn't do with it and it does everything I need it to do. Will most likely be placing an order on Friday or some time next week. I'm more than excited to see how it performs next time I head up to Rausch.
