My JK "Prerunner" build
Ah its been a project. Started out as a stock 2014 JKU that was in an accident. Wasn't originally sure what direction I wanted to go but I'm pretty stoked on how its coming. A lot more time money and consideration went into it than I expected.
Started out with 35 inch tires and a cheap rubicon express 3.5 inch lift.
Now its got some coilovers and long arm kit.
Current mod list
Evo front double throw down kit, coilovers and bypass
Rear rebel shock mounts and king 14 in 2.5 coilovers
King bumpstops
King steering stabilizer
Evo Long arm kit
Toyo 37 in MTs
Method 18 inch grid wheels
Rockslide front Bumper
Rampage rear bumper
Rear rampage rack
Kicker subs
What I still need
Just sold the rampage rear bumper cause the tires would rub, looking to go with an evo rear fascia
Tire carrier, think I'm gonna go with DV8 tire carrier that goes over the tire
Winch
Driveshafts - right now I have the stock ones but since the driveshaft hits the cross pipe I have short limiting straps in the front, not allowing full travel
Currie antirock sway bars
Rock Sliders
And the biggest upgrade I'm waiting on are the axles. Right now they are stock so a Dana 30 in the front and Dana44 in the back. Ya no lockers and 3.73 gearing
Not 100% sure on the route I'm gonna take but leaning towards a prorock 44 in the front and 60 in the back. Also looking at the new dana spicers. Any input or info on deals would be sick.
I've wheeled it a couple times and its a beast but still a lot of room for improvement. Hoping to go testing with King soon and get the shocks dialed in. On the road this thing is all over the place

If you're looking at an actual prerunner then you'll need more than the axles you have planned as well as some serious hydraulic bumpstops.

Yea not trying to throw that kind of money right now. Think I'm gonna get some housings and piece them together over a little time. Also how's the 5.13s on the street. I'm really leaning towards 4.88s

With 40's and the mountain I live on they kinda suck on the highway. I have to drop down to 4th gear for 7% grades with the 3.8 and 6 speed
