I am going to but a 2" lift on my jku. Question. I was thinking about doing the spacers and shocks only. Am i going to get a better ride replacing the shocks? Or should i just keep the factory shocks? I only have 25 k on the factory shocks. I dont see spending the extra money if its not gonna make a difference on the street

You should be fine with the stock shocks.i would consider adding the shock extenders.i did a 2" Teraflex leveling kit and have factory shocks on for the last 20k miles without any issues. I have the red rubicon shocks on mine now but the stock Sahara ones worked fine as well.

Using a spacer will retain the factory ride and using shock extensions will put the factory shocks where they need to be to be effective. Doing this will add almost no benefit to the jeep.

I just installed rough country 2.5 lift. I bought the one for 139.99 and quickly realized I should replace the swaybar links. Then I said wth and ordered pro comp pro runner shocks. So, all in for under 500.00. Did the work myself. Love the new height of my jeep. Now I just need to fill those wheel wells up

maybe by no benefit he means no off road ability benefit. but for putting bigger tires on, heck yeah!

with all that hassle I would buy once cry once.
Get some Rubicon springs off craigslist to add to your 2" and replace with new shocks and be done with it.

If your only going 2", get the Monroe reflex monotubes. I love them. I am on my second set, I put 120,000 on my last set and they were starting to get a little soft, but got them replaced under warranty. They ride and handle great.
