but if you bring air with you, it isn't dangerous.... at worst a few minutes of wasted time waiting to air up.

traction is king... and increased contact patch is how you get that.

Admittedly I am a little puzzled with the no shifting thing. Why would the tranny think it shouldn't shift up?

I would turn the ESP off as much as possible.. there are a couple stages of "OFF"... I think you have to hold the ESP button off for 5-10 seconds to get it to the better place. Keep in mind that everytime you throw it in park it resets.

I can't think of a good reason to disconnect the sway.

Not sure about lockers. I don't have any, so haven't done that homework.

Yeah, I had the same thoughts about the ESP and the Sway Bar.

Can anyone chime in with the Lockers.

I used to drive my Civic on South Padre Island. Used to live in Brownsville. The sand there is WAY different than the sand here in NY. Here, it just trenches and trenches. You definitely need to air down.

I have run the beach without lockers in the new JK aired down.. esp half off seemed good. In my other trucks i ran rear lockers. If I had lockers I would run the rear one on and the front one off. Front locker on can cause some harsh steering and dig in a bit. The rear locker would be a great help in soft sand.

BTW.... Hit 3rd on the beach.... stayed in first till like 10-12MPH.

I aired down my tires to 20 psi on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and had no problem. I run 33 X 10.50 Pro Comp AT's. I only left an impression in the sand on nearly an inch. My other buddies driving the big Fords aired down to 15 psi and they were leaving impressions of about 3 inches. One actually got stuck but was able to free himself. Be careful that you don't air down to much and break a bead lock. Disaster on the beach.
