I just bought a second set of wheels to be used for two or three jamborees this year. I'd prefer not to have $1600 of BFGs just sitting in my garage 358 days a year. Anyone know what the cheapest mud terrain tire is in general? I realize that price will vary on the different sizes, but I also know that the BFG KM2s and Wrangler MTRs are always usually the most expensive in any size. Thanks.

Although I've never owned any I've heard good things about re-tread tires. I think the company name is Treadwright. Sounds like a good application for what you are looking for.

Wal-Mart actually carries some less expensive versions of off-road tires.

Thanks for the offer on the BFGs, but I want 34s. Wal mart's Wrangler MTs ironically have almost the exact pattern as the Treadwrite MTs, but Wal mart's only come in 32s I believe. Treadwrites are looking good at $760 shipped for four 34s!

I run the 315/70R17 treadwright and love them. As long as they keep making the Guard Dogs, I will buy them. They make a new wall to wall tire now too and a 37" Guard Dog.

I don't know if price has changed. But I picked up a set of fierce attitude for 269 a piece at discount tire. 35x12.50x17
