I finally finished after some overheating and a driveshaft eating some wires got this thing finished! And its a custom kit on this one I didn't buy a kit from motech wait time was ridiculous. Specs: Built 5.3 aluminum L33 block 6L80e PSC hydro assist for the LS New radiator 2-black magic fans- one pusher and one puller 5.38 gears suck now lol Going to 4.56

You have my props. Engines are not my expertise. I wanted to try an ls swap with a Megasquirt or something but its beyond me i feel right now. Doing it without a kit did you run into any big problems or really nothing to bad?

I had a guy do most of the work for me. The only part that was difficult was the bracket for the PSC hydro assist pump other than that everything was great, $7,100 on all the parts and $5,000 for the motor and trans.

The price really depends on which motor you pick and if you can find a good deal in one.

why not get 37s and still run 5.38? 5.3l+6l80e overdrive should make 70mph at 2300 and 2900 in 4/5 gear breezy. 17/8 inch tread is good for +50,000mi before either replacement or regrooving for a mud tire without rotation. You can hear grapplers easier when they get real low on tread. Have you ever thought about regrooving insteaD?

I do have 37s and that is way too high an rpm for a v8 to be running down the highway destroys gas going 75-80 I want it 2000 at 75.

Also the 4lo is unusable even though I have a stock transfer case, had to get rid of Rubi case it was so low I could put a brick on the gas and walk faster than the jeep lol.
