i actually agree with him, i dont think all green on a 2 door looks that bad, but its to much on a 4 door

For what it is worth... there is a loaded JKU Rubicon in Gecko down the street from me at a local dealership (Denver, CO). The only thing it is missing, from your list, is the color-keyed top. They are asked just shy of $40k for it.

Yeah, it's a tough call. Resale is another factor. I bet the Rubi holds its value better than the Sport. Do mods have any value when it comes to resale in the Jeep community? I know with Subarus you get hit pretty hard.

Okay. I just got the thumbs up from my wife to get the 2-door! I didn't think that was going to happen. Now I need to decide whether to get the Rubi or the Sport (and do a buildup)

Okay folks...

I just put a deposit down on a 2012 JK Rubicon Gecko! I'm super psyched. Didn't get screwed on my trade too bad either. I'll keep you guys posted.

Hello ! first post on this forum.
Just ordered a Sport S Gecko w/ Black 3 piece roof/fenders as a 50th b'day present for my wife !
Smittybilt tubular bumpers , aries nerf bar ... all pc /textured black
BDS 3" lift
17 x 9 XD Series Addicts (black) with 35" x 12 .5" Fierce attitude rubber
Currently in D status , can't wait to see what this will look like !

Believe it or not , THIS IS ALL HER IDEA !!!

Default Pulled the trigger
I signed all the finance documents today. It looks like I will be picking it up tomorrow! I thought my wife wanted to drive the STi over the weekend before taking delivery, but today she mentioned that I can do the trade tomorrow. Now all I need to do is wait for the dealer to get my TeraFlex PreRunner Suspension, Fox Racing Shocks, and Katzkin Leather in and do the install. The leather is going to be the black tuscany bolsters with black barracuda inserts and green contrast stitching.

I am going to keep the stock wheels and tires for now, but add some spacers. What is everyone's thoughts on the TeraFlex PreRunner with the stock 32s and spacers?

Default Contrast Stitching
For those of you who are interested, I am attaching a picture of the contrast stitching color. It isn't a 100% match to the Gecko color, but I think it is close enough. Once the leather is installed, it should be hard to tell the difference visually. The thread has a sheen to it that changes color based upon lighting.
