Took my girls out for a picnic this weekend..couldn't help myself! We passed a tree they wanted to climb and well, I didn't see it. Soooo we had to make a u-turn. It felt good for Ruby to stretch her legs, but ultimately just a teaser. She still had 2 inches at each corner. Kind of like standing up from a hard day at work, going to stretch, but realizing the ceiling was only 5 feet tall!!!

I did a similar build a few years ago with the same intention - to tackle the Rubicon Trail! Mine was different, in that I started with a '93 Wrangler YJ. This was before the Rubicon model was available - so I had to "Rubicon" it myself. Took me about a year and I ran the Rubicon in 2000 & 2001 and had absolutely no problems.
I now have a 2013 JKUR and it looks amazingly like yours. I like that you have a plan and appreciate your "stewardship". Looking forward to seeing the rest. Good luck!
