I'm glad I did the boom mat, it definitely cuts down on the road noise, most noticeably on the highway. You still will get some low frequency "booming" but it is reduced, and overall the Jeep is more pleasant to drive.
I am planning to dyna-mat the doors and floor next...just need some time.

Started a new project tonight, sound deadening GT Mat. So far it seems high quality, and easy to apply. I did the driver's side rear wheel well, with nearly 100% coverage, and there is still a ton of the 50 sq ft roll left. I'm planning to do the entire rear floor, then the front and the front doors. If I still have material left, I'll hit the rear doors, and then the hood.
I'll let you know what sort of a difference it makes.

Did a bit more tonight, the rest of the rear of the jeep. Here are a few more pics.
I found it easiest to apply in narrow strips, from 1 to maybe 6" wide.
On the drive to work this morning it seemed to cut down on the road noise, so I'm looking forward to finishing the rest of the jeep - as I expect it will make a significant difference when it is 100% completed.

Had to go play in the snow today...this thing is unreal compared to any of my previous vehicles. I did find it necessary to turn off the esc in the deep stuff...

Thought I'd share a few pics from today's project. Got 3 switches from Quadratec with covers, planning to hook them up to front and rear locker, plus my 6" front Hella lights. I'll be using relays between these and the factory relays so they act more like a dry contact. Also, found the wire behind the window switches that is in the dash dimmer circuit. It is orange and grey. You can see my Multi-meter pics, and how it goes from 12v down to a much lower value when you twist the dimmer. The switches fit fine in the factory a-pillar. Very happy with the results!
