I would say you need a minimum of 2.5". If you keep the stock wheels you'll need spacers. Probably gonna have to trim the pinch seams as well. I would suggest also trimming your stock fenders or getting after market flats so as not to rub when you are fully compressed.

I've got a 2.5" lift, 35X12.5X18 Nitto Trail grapplers, 2 inch bump stops. No rubbing and no trimming required. Just had to remove the front facia.

You can fit 35s with as little as a leveling kit if you trim your fenders. If you keep your stock wheels you will need 1.5" spacers minimum.
