Default Calling all Gobi colored Jeeps

I have not seen one here in the show n tell for the Gobi color yet so I figured I would get one going. Here is mine 1 week old. What it looked like the day I picked it up and what it looks like after this past weekend.

I know I cannot be the only one on here with the Gobi color. After I added all the stuff I stripped off my 2012 Jeep I was sagging a little in the rear. So I purchased some 1.5 inch Rock Krawler springs and swapped them in last night. Put me right back to stock height. Look at the difference in these springs. All I needed was a spring compressor from the local auto parts store. Put a deposit down take it use it and hand back and deposit back. Not bad at all. Took a little over an hour at a buddies house to do them.

I love your Jeep!! Looks great. Funny you say that about pics as each pic does look a little different. I love the gobi color.

It looks almost identical to Mojave Sand in the pics I've seen.

I got rid of the stock Rubi wheels as they are just too tucked into the fender for my liking. Put on some level 8 trackers from Discount Tire Direct today. With offset and bs I gained about 2.5 inches. Sits about right now until I decide on a lift and all.

Hi, is that a road shower you've install on your rack? If so, what's your opinion on it? Does the water get pretty warm/ hot? I've got the same color JKU as yours and my future plan of setup is a gobi rack, roof tent, and road shower. Thanks for posting, gives me a visualize what it will look like.

Hello yes it is a road shower 2. Holds 5 gallons. I have had it for 2 years or so. I like it. Simple and easy to use. It does get hot when in direct sunlight and all. If it is cloudy or cold out all you have to do is boil a pot of water and put it in there to warm it up as well. I completely forgot about this thread here lol. I have gone through a ton of changes on the Jeep and still more to come. Installed an AEV 2.5 inch lift with 315 KO2s. Sold my expo trailer after my big trip to NC and my Gobi rack is also on the way out in a few weeks. Hopefully right before Christmas my new Ursa Minor J30 top will be here. Here are some pics from my trip to NC in October. Went to Appalachian Rendezvous in Uwharrie National Forrest and then on to Overland Expo East. I had the road shower during the 13 day trip and used it the entire time.

I liked your trailer! The J30s are nice too, buddy of mine has had one for a few years now. You'll like it.

I ordered a '18 Gobi JK for the wife, it came in a couple of weeks ago. Mods are coming in now but I have to get an install plan. Main hiccup is a controller to change gears and tire size. (Everyone says "1-2 months") Not sure my wife can wait that long, she's not happy driving a baby Jeep LOL

I started a thread here to track the build: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-s...d-gobi-344022/
