Default Clay's Slow Build Thread

Here she sits, the day I got her. I traded a perfectly good red 2012 to get one in Anvil. Not financially smart, I guess.

Default Wheels & Tires

I like the look of more rubber. 16x8.5 -6 Level 8 Punch Wheels. 285/75R16 Goodyear Duratracs. Direct to my door from Discount Tire. The Duratracs are pretty quite on the road, for such an aggressive tread pattern. Calibrated speedo with a Procal, and set TPMS to 0, since I did not put TPMS sensors in the new wheels.

Default Lights

I don't have any before and after pics, but I replaced the stock headlights with a set of Hella E-Code H4 and a KC Hilites adapter. Lights are much better, now. I tried a set of Cibies, but they seemed to spray light all over the place.

A little security, although the best bet, is to just not leave anything valuable in it! Click image for larger version

Next up, will be my "Frankenstein" leveling kit. I purchased the front 2" coils only, from the EVO leveling kit from Level 10 Offroad, and the Teraflex 1.5" rear coils, and a set of Teraflex 1/2" front spacers from the interwebs. I'm hoping to get a true 2" of lift on a 2 door. I'll take good measurements when I do the install.

Just found your build thread after reading your posts in the Evo thread. Your Jeep is looking great. I'll be interested to see how you like the Evo 2" coils and how much lift you actually get. I tried the RK 1.5" springs that are advertised as 2.5" for 2-drs. They gave me more lift than I wanted and rode pretty stiff. So I'm thinking about the plush ride coils. I was concerned they might be too stiff, but the more I research them, the more I think they might be just right for a 2-dr., provide the ride I'm looking for, and the amount of lift.
