So u want ur friends and family to constantly ask u if u lost ur damn mind....let them see ur jeep like this!

More info to follow.

My Friend CrazyCodyK helped.

This was not an OSHA Approved safety method. The plan is 6" Teraflex elite long arm kit-onsite.

Dynatrac d80 front and rear with 5.38 gears-choked on price and went ahead and ordered today-8 week delay...

5.3 chevy LS engine (LC9 all aluminum block) and 6 spd auto from 2010 silverado flexfuel install myself using MoTech kit. Engine, trans and kit on site.

Frame is to have the engine, teraflex mounts and speedbump mounts welded on and then frame is going to powdercoat after cleanup grinding to make look like new again.

Then the hard parts begin.

Will be following this build closely... have similar plans for my 2dr! Please note any issues you run into with the engine conversion if you wouldn't mind

I will no problem. Worked on removing and bagging/tagging all parts off of rear of frame as i work towards the front removing every single item as i go. This is a daunting task to be sure. Taking pics and vids as i go so i can remember how it all goes back. About 4am last night i was too pooped to continue. Will resume late today and take more pics for public consumption! Lol

I am getting a ram assist (prolly pcs) and also will be installing a steering fluid cooler on the return line and spin on fluid filter(a remote mount oil filter) for the trans and the power steering fluids. By doing that, i can add fluid capacity and flitering which both will aid in cooling the fluid and help it handle high stress moments with less wear. Since i have the aev front bumper and front skid, i will mount that stuff just above the skid under the front of motor.

As u can immagine, this build is flexable and changes to the plan will occur as the build moves forward. Still looking at wheels and tires.

I have the teraflex speed bump kit for front and rear but i am considering getting the kit that uses the canister front speed bumps molded(frenched) into rear of frame. I feel it is a better design that way. We shall see if time and budget agree.

As i take things off the frame, put the item in a bag and label and shelve.....i realize this is a very time consuming process and i hope it is all worth this effort when im done. It is a daunting process to be sure.

Pretty awesome start. You won't regret installing the Chevy V8. I have 16k on my MoTech conversion. It transforms the Jeep entirely (and for the better).

Curious what your reasons were for using the speedbumps vs. hydraulic/air bump from fox or king?

I bought the teraflex kit during a Northridge 4x4 package sale. It included the 6" elite lift, speedbumps and elka shocks. So since it was included, figured i would use them, however the rear speedbump system doesnt impress me how it looks or mounts so i may get the other solution teraflex has and use another set if front tube style in the rear with "frenched into frame" tube mounts

Motor coming out tonite! Exhaust is undone and mounting bolts loose. Just gotta find a way to balance the silly little motor.
