That is a asinine statement. I am a Sahara owner but don't like it when Rubicon owners talk like that to me. The last time that happened we were on the trail. Lets just say at the end of the day the Rubi owner couldn't hang with my modded up Sahara. A JK is a JK you can take a sport and make it more trail worthy than a Rubi. To me the make you drive isn't near as important as the mods. To all his own I guess but my next Jk will be a sport and I promise you give me a year after purchase and you try and come wheel with me.

I was being sarcastic while replying to ChryslerChris' comment. Notice my ;-) after my comment. Sometimes, even with the emoticons the text still does not reflect it. My Sahara is my first Jeep, which I bought used (2007) early this year more to see how I would like it.
I also do not like the matching fenders and top. If mine had them I would have painted them matte black as the first mod.
P.S. Looks like I hit some nerves down this thread. ;-)

I'm jumping in - I personally don't like the matt black fenders - They fade out after a few years and then even when you try to restore them they don't look great. However, having said that - if they didn't fade then I wouldn't have an issue and that would have been the jeep I would have purchased..... but since they do, I would say it was an 87% reason why I went with the Saraha. My wife would have bitched me out if I bought a jeep that was pretty plain to begin with, only to have the fenders fade out from the sun... I would never hear the end of it. On that NOTE It won't matter to me about the fenders painted or not, since I have the Smitybilt XRC fenders and I am currently building my own fender flares... Which I guess when they are done I will have them painted to match the wrinkle coat of the XRC armour. Hmm... So I guess paint does matter.

Really hope this thread doesn't turn into a bashing of other JK's including sports and rubi's...and matching fenders. Honestly, who cares its a JK and to each his own. Anyway here is my Sahara
