I traded in my 08 after eight years, and picked up this 17. Its the first time ever that I ordered something exactly how I wanted it. I bought a super stocker with the intent of building it up over years.
Day one:
Attachment 669135
This is a few months later. Nothing crazy, but I used the "If you could start fresh" thread on here, and I knocked out all of the smaller and over-looked things first: Delrin door hinges, Fluid-Film, entry guards, etc. I installed the stock hitch from my 08, and then an after market trailer wire harness. with the 3.78s, I did the tow kit install for less than half of the price as factory. Then I found a hardtop at a good price and painted the inside black like my last one. I installed a Rubi suspension and threw on my 285/75s from my last Jeep.

Looking good! I've gone the same route with both my 2014 and now 2016 JKU. Started bone stock and building it up.

After 7 years of an JKU, got a 2017 Gobu Hardrock 2 Door and absolutely love it. Now just trying to plan mods....A 2 door is a totally different animal.

Here is mine. I picked it up a month ago. Traded my 12 sport in for a 17 gobi colored Rubicon. Stripped off things I wanted to keep for the new Jeep. Came with 410 gears as that was the only way I was trading. Oh and it came in Gobi color also. What I wanted. The day I picked it up.
The 2 Jeeps at dealer side by side
And last week heading out to do some camping with friends.
Added after the purchase
LOD rear bumper
Genesis dual battery tray
Gobi stealth rack
1.5 inch rear rock krawler coils as I lost 2.5 inches with the weight
Goose gear floor plate
Kargo master hinge steps
Bartract front seat covers.
Have new wheels on the way as well. I am not going to lift it at this time until I know what I want. It tows trailer great and loved how it traveled with it

First ever Jeep. 2017 JKUR Hard Rock.
Added Maximus-3 front hoop, winch plate and the D-ring loops w/hi-lift jack points.
JKUR Hard Rock 5
D-rings were added after this pic was taken. I have also since added a few lights. It's getting a Teraflex Performance lift kit (coil lift) tomorrow and new wheels and tires in a few weeks.
