I just did this myself yesterday. I can't believe Rough Country hasn't come out with metal caps for this. It seems to me they would be easier to fab than the front caps they have on the market. I used plastic from the sections I cut off to temporarily seal up the cut opening. I'll be fabbing up some steel caps for them soon and tying them back to the frame where the original brackets were to sturdy it all up more.
