That is interesting , they didn't have any balancing issues with mine. How much of a weight difference between the tires? How do you like the slabs?? I couldn't decide so I got the Pro Comp Series. 98 's because they look decent and were cheap, leaving my options open. Beadlocks are not legal in my state, but when it's up for inspection they will only see it with the factory wheels!
Trust me when I say that I fought the urge to buy nittos as long as I could. I am not a band wagon guy and I feel like the nitto trail grappler is the band wagon of tire of the decade. So, I went with the mud grappler.
I mounted them on the slabs Friday afternoon (in my garage, did not use a shop or take them anywhere) and by Friday at 8pm I was driving 80mph+ down the freeway with no weights or beads. Just the tires and lots of turns with a torque wrench on the wheels.
I am a believer now...when the boys at northridge here in Colorado said that they should need very little balancing were absolutely correct. And, for weight...91 lbs per tire. At 28 psi, I think they are noticeable another - my MTRs were a C range tire, these are E...very surprising.
I like the slabs. Super high quality, install went well, took me about an hour per tire with only hand tools to mount them, then about an hour to get them mounted on the jeep and torqued for a third time.

I had 35" MTRs and I liked them, balanced easily for me, just some tape weights on the wheels and they were fine. But, I will say, I just put on 37" mud grapplers and new atx slabs. Needed Zero balancing! I was blown away on my first test drive, took the jeep up to 90mph and it smooth as can be. After putting 100 miles on them, they are a far superior tire on the road. I am running them at 28 psi just like I had my MTRs.

Put some Bushwacker flat fenders on and it'll look great and get you a little more clearance.
