So have you had these KO2s in the rocks aired down (to what psi). I love my KM2s, but they suck in the rain and snow. I'm really considering the KO2s in a 37 since I like the KO2s (33's) that we put on my wife's jeep.

Just put them on yesterday. Funny, so far I've only taken them to the mall. I loved my KM2s too, but swapped them out for Duratracs after the first snow because I didn't want to kill myself and my family. I expect the KO2s to handle similarly to the Duratracs in the weather. My initial on-road impressions in the dry are that they are reasonably soft with a lot of flex in the lugs, good for weather. I'm taking them out to Rausch this weekend so I will report back on their off-road performance.

Yup! Please report back. I'm very interested to see how they do on the rocks.

Default 37" Coopers and KM2's on Same Jeep

Just sharing my experience with 2 different tire brands, in 37" trim, on my rig (at the same time). Long story short, I have 2 of each (and a KM2 spare) on my Jeep. Bought the KM2's with about 1000mi on them, so almost new, and bought the Cooper S/T Maxx's new. Only reason I even got the KM2's is they were $200ea, so it was a really good deal that was hard to pass up.

Having had them both on for almost 20,000mi now, here are my observations for both on-road and off-road use...

  • The KM2's and Cooper S/T Maxx seem to grip just the same off road in rocks. I usually air them all down to 12psi.
  • The Coopers seem to be wearing MUCH slower than the KM2's are.
  • The KM2's are wearing irregularly, and now have less than 50% tread remaining.
  • The KM2's, the more they wear, create vibes or some resonance and lots of noise on-road. Can't detect any from the Coopers.
  • Wet traction seems identical with both (judging from having had both types on the rear a few times, and in rain)...and they both have been great there.

So, based on all that, when it's tire time again I'll be sticking with the Coopers. Definitely much less expensive and seem to perform better on-road, and off road as good as the KM2's, which are great there.
