So we just bought our second Wrangler Unlimited for my wife. She likes the Rubicon stickers she has seen on real Rubicons and asks if we can put one on. I told her we would need to make it hard to tell it was not an actual Rubicon, or she might get laughed at instead of waved at by other Jeeps. Told her we would need the wheels and tires along with the red rear shocks if she had any hope of pulling it off. I have already pulled the Sport stickers off.
This will be a true mall crawler, so I am trying to find a "mall rated" badge I can replace the trail rated one with, more as a joke, than anything.
So all that being said, make the wife happy, or is being a poser too much of a sin against the Jeep community?

On the other hand, why don't you ask her if she would get some letters to label her purse a "Coach" purse, or some other kind of fakery with something she understands. Maybe she'll understand why you are hesitant. It's not just the stickers that make it a Rubicon.

I've seen some people put the "Wrangler" sticker where the Rubicon sticker goes on the hood. It looks good and no posing involved!

Pixel Decals will make you the replica decals, in matching Rubicon font, to say anything you want.

I wouldn't do it. Get a custom vinyl sticker of a name she likes or something. I'm going with Rubiclone once the X has the new D44's locker and regeared

The average Joe won't be able to tell if it's a fake or not. If that's what she wants to do then go for it.

I prefer the debaged look. And I would also go with something custom over "Rubicon" on a non rubi. Maybe Sporticon? Lol
