If you want it to run correctly, yes, you will need a tuner or re-calibration device. May I suggest Superchip's FlashCal. It's not real expensive. My 35's threw the speedo off by about 5mph and screwed up the shifting, speedometer, mpg calculator, odometer, and anything that takes input from the distance that the tires are rolling.

My 2012 automatically adjusted itself for everything except the speedo, its out by about 4mph. You have a 2014 and it may be the same. Check with the tire shop, dealer, or somebody you know who has done this on a 2014.
I'm told not all model years will experience the same results.
Good luck and post pics.

My 2012 auto was horrible with my 315-70-17, self adjusting? The shift points were way out, procal restored the shift points and speedo. My 2014 was no different.

I wonder why the heck the big difference in personal experience? I left the tire shop not knowing what to expect and was quite surprised it ran as well as it did........Hmmm?

Default would like to join the club

Ok, guys.

I would like to join the club. Specifically, I would like to add 305/70 R17 Goodyear MTR K's on my a 2013 Rubi 2-door with stock finders full width OR-Fab front bumper, None of the Jeep specs really matter too much, I'm not looking for lift recommendations, I'm trying to see if anyone out there can tell me how much bump-stop is required (front/rear) to keep the tires out of the stock finders, and I will determine my desired lift off of those numbers.

Really, I am trying to stay low, so I need to know minimum bump stop, not how long of bump stops a 2.5 in lift comes with out of the box.

So, I'm looking to run 305/70 R17 Goodyear MTR K's on my stock wheels (with 1.5" spydertrax wheel spacers) under the stock finders without significant rubbing (front or rear) fully disconnected in the front.

Thanks all.
Happy Jeeping!

Hopefully my Nitto TG G2's will count. Under load they are measuring right under 34". I have a 2012 JKU Sahara with a Rock Krawler 2.5" lift, not running any spacers, and no rub yet. Tires are mounted on 2014 Rubi wheels. Love the setup and stance this tire size gives the RK lift.

Got some BFG KM2's, 305/70R17. They've actually done pretty well in the snow, I was kind of surprised. Great tire.
