13 Rubi or wait?
Had a 08 Rubi, and it was an ok ride. Kind of weak on power, noisy ride, cramped drivers compartment, and was kinda disappointed in it. We traded for an 09 gmc Yukon Denali, and its a nice luxury suv. Living on gravel roads is killing it. thinking about trading in on a 12 or 13 rubi, and want to know if there is anything to look out for? Also being so close to model year end, was wondering if i should wait for the 14s
Thanks for the input guys.

Don't know if it helps but I got a 13 sahara and I love it nice smooth ride and quiet even when on the freeway. Its a hardtop which is a pita to take off the rear section unless u got a garage. Feels nice and roomy inside im also 6 3"

If you did not like the ride on the 08 and are going from a smooth riding denali, I would suggest getting a Sahara over a Rubi since will ride better with the Sahara tires and shocks.

What are the main differences in the two? Minor mods planed for this jeep (it the wifes DD...with 2 kids). Just want to clear 35s and and hit the off road parks.

Oh, if u plan to lift and go to 35s then the ride will be the same on either. Definately you will want at least 3.73 gearing so rubi might be better since has by default. Here are the differences:
The Sahara is more of the "luxury" model and has the following:
-Painted flares
-side steps
-silver inserts on bumpers
- 18" wheels with bridgestone fueled A/T tires.
- upgraded from sport - monotube shocks
-std 3.21 gears, optional 3.73s
Rubi has:
- D44 front diff
- front and rear lockers
- sway disconnect
- 4:1 tcase
- stiffer monotube shocks and springs
-17" wheels with M/T tires
- standard 3.73s for auto and 4.10 for stick

I bought a '12 at the end of May last year, the '13's came out a month later. I wish I had waited for the '13. I sold it at the and of the summer for a profit... the only reason I sold it. I'm waiting another week to order my '14 with the exact options and color I want. There an no incentives to buy a '13 over a '14. There will be new colors and Flame Red is back. Wait, you'll thank me in July.

I used the AEV 3.5 SC lift and no joking it rides better than the stock. Great for DD and off-road parks. I do have experience with Teraflex also, you'll get a stiffer than stock ride with there coils (lift).
