I never received any letter, but I just picked up my Jeep from the dealer this morning had to drop her off wednesday for a water leak third time and the fuel tank. First time they replaced some valve worked for a little while and now they had to replace the fuel tank. would like to see if its working but all the idiots are out emptying all the gas stations once again they think the world is coming to an end.

LOL! Yeah hurricane Sandy has everyone on edge around our way. I registered my jeep online http://m.jeep.com/en/owners/. They update me with any issues that are and were covered under warranty.

I went to a gas station in Jersey, and told the attendant to fill it up 40 buck. My intention was to prevent it from overflowing since in New Jersey they fill up gas for you. He turns around and says, " Oh it's a Jeep, that happens all the time". That's when I said we have a bigger problem on hand. It will save me 75 cents worth of gas that over flows each time! And the cost the dealer would rape me on if I did it through them with out the lifetime warranty!

Replacing just the filler tube with the bad check valve is a lot simpler for the dealer mechanics, and greatly lowers your risk of having the nightmare my tank replacement turned into.
