My buddy just posted something on fB. The article said they were using a stronger but lighter steel to reduce weight and the body panels could be aluminum. The idea of a small diesel and 8 speed were still being considered. This is for the 2016s.

For the 2 door 2012 they had to make it longer to fit the larger 5-speed transmission. I think that the 8-speed transmission is larger so they might be forced to make the 2 door even longer for it to fit?
