Rubi has a RK 2.5 x-factor lift.
These are my folks. My Mother made a step so she could climb in and out of the Jeep.
My Brother-In-Law and my Father.
My two Jeeps.
My sister in my Daily Driver with Nitto Terra Graps 285/70's. No lift, stock.

295/70/17's? I think I found my next tire and size! They look amazing with the lift on your rig.

I have 0 complaints with them so far and I don't have any of the issues with them pulling to the left that others speak of with the 35's. They don't weight as much as the 35's so I don't see much speed lag with them at 11,000-12,000 foot passes. But I do have a pentastar with 4:10's though. And the sport with the 32.84" still can bark second gear with the 6 speed on 3:73's.

With the 295/70's I doubt you will notice much of a difference. Only time I noticed it was on the climb of a mountain pass doing 55-65. It was down shifting at different areas that it didn't before. Keep in mind I never did get a tuner for it. I figured if the speedo matches up to those "Your Speed" signs I was happy.

I don't think 33's are wimpy at all
I've thought about the consequences for me of going to 35's. Mine is a daily driver, with 3.21 gearing, so between the need to regear, get a rear tire carrier, and the extra weight of 35's since I do a lot of highway travelling, I have decided to stick with 33's. I have locked the front diff now with a Lokka locker, so my offroad performance is still very good. I'm also driving around with my kids a lot, and occasionally need to get my mom into the jeep, and everyone thinks it is quite tall enough! Also, I find that my 33x12.5x15 Duratracs are great in the winter as well as offroad, so for now it is 33's for me!
