Default 400 miles per tank!

I was determined to get 400 miles out of a tank of gas and today I finally met that little goal. The low fuel light came on at 401.9 miles. Who says the JK gets bad gas mileage.

Nothing special. I just drive with a light foot and coast down an occasional hill in neutral. I'm pretty lucky in that my commute to work is mostly highway driving. I usually keep it between 55 and 65 on the hwy.

Georgia Overdrive will burn your clutch up faster than you realize,(not really burn it up, but tear it up isn't far from wrong.) if you have a standard. Can't be good for an auto either.

Uh, how is coasting with the transmission out of gear any worse for the clutch than with the transmission in gear? Now, I agree that riding the clutch is probably bad for it, but popping it out of gear shouldn't affect the clutch any. Hell, I usually don't even use the clutch to get into neutral.

400 miles! That is awesome, I'm guess you are still running stock tires? I'm lucky if I get 15mpg now:(

What kind of mpg does a 401 mile tank work out to be?

Well, figuring that it usually only takes about 14-15 gallons to fill mine up when it's darn near empty...I'd say about 26-27 MPG!! That's borderline unbelieveable...but impressive. On another note, the wife and I are leaving tomorrow nite for a road trip...I'll make sure and try to get the best mileage I can.
